Here’s what people have to say about our Myoko ventures!

For additional reviews please visit the following Powderhounds site.

I have been on tour with MV two times now, 2016 and 2017. Myoko is an amazing place, the food, people and most of all the SNOW! It doesn’t take long to figure out the staff at MV have a serious passion for what they do. Zac your guide will make sure you experience the best Myoko has to offer and trust me he definitely knows where to find some amazing food!! As for the snow, if you’ve never experienced Jpow, get ready to have your mind blown! Be guided through this winter wonderland, new terrain every day, amazing views and expert tuition. I seriously cannot recommend this company enough; from beginner to expert the guys at MV will have you hitting bigger steeper terrain the right way and with confidence. But don’t take my word for it, come and experience it for yourself and join me on my 3rd tour in 2018.

"Myoko Japan Mountain Ventures"

This tour exceeded all of my expectations. The week ran seamlessly with everything from dinners, going out, trips to local onsens, night boarding and transfers to and from different locations. The instruction I received on the snow was fantastic, my skills and ability improved significantly. Myoko itself was brilliant, it wasn't packed with tourists which I loved and finally the snow was out of control!
I had powder up to my knees which was insane.
I'll be coming back without a doubt

"Must do Progression Tour!"

Tour leader Zac was very helpful, patient, friendly, passionate snowboarder. Who was always willing to share his knowledge and give hints and tips throughout the entire trip. Zac and the Myoko snow sports instructor took us to different mountains each day, riding fresh powder through the trees and park. Always encouraging us to push your snowboarding skills further.
We stayed at villa monrepos a family owned Ski in ski out hotel with great food, cooked breakfast, cold tap beer, hot onsen bath and friendly staff and one very shy dog.
Myoko Progression Tour is very well price, would 100% recommend this tour if you want to improve your snowboarding skills and have a great time.

“Myoko Snow Progression Venture 2017”

Right from the point of first contact to the end of the tour Mountain Ventures  were professional, organised and definitely prepared to put on a great week for everyone across the board.
Everything ran smoothly - from the transfers from the airport to our accommodation (Villa Monrepos) to the daily travel to and from the different ski resorts including having the lift passes prepared each morning and also the dinners each night - there was just no hiccups. This was a very important factor in having a good time for me, having been overseas on ski holidays organised by myself in the past I can 100% say it is worth every dollar when it goes as smoothly as this did.
Aside from the professionalism, both Zac and Andge from MV were fun to be around which was also very important. Having a random group of people come together for a week not knowing what they are like can be tough but they both did a great job in catering for everyone's different personalities and making sure we all had a quality time.
Zac's snowboarding knowledge was fantastic and as an instructor was able to quickly identify and advise on what I needed to do to be better. This was again, very important for me as I definitely want to improve myself as a snowboarder and more time with Zac on the snow will definitely allow me to learn and become better.
All in all, it was an incredible holiday and would 100% recommend to anyone wanting an amazing guided snow adventure.

“Froffing good times!”

A phenomenal tour! I can't recommend it enough. Run by Zac, a passionate, energetic guide who goes to every length to fulfil your snowboarding dreams! We boarded in completely different terrain every day, ate a different kind of food each night and had some ridiculously good times. I'll be back next year, can't wait for more of that Japow!

“The ultimate snow week!”

The only bad thing I could say about this tour is the countdown from when I booked till when I boarded my plane.
After arriving in Myoko, Zac ensured that I was all settled in and an introduction to the "Whole Banana" crepe for the first afternoon and then the fun began… A ton of mountains, a ton of snow and some new friends from different parts of the globe.
Zac takes the snow tour to the next level by not only looking after you on the mountains, but also off the mountain with all the great things Myoko has to offer.
Would 100% recommend MV for your next snow trip.

“All in all, Excellent!”

The Mountain Ventures Myoko snowboarding venture was awesome. The tour guide was helpful, easy going and easy to approach, making it easy to ask questions and chat. The instructor was helpful and and encouraging with lots of energy and gave you the chance to learn at your own pace. It was exciting getting to go to different mountains each day, trying them out and experiencing their different types of slopes and lifts each one offered. The hotel was homey and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and made the end of each day so much more relaxing. Its fireplace offered an excellent meeting place that made it easy to meet up in the mornings and at night. All in all I had an excellent experience and hope to do it again next year.

“Definitely be doing it again”

Having no experience with snowboarding or even snow for a matter of fact, the Mountain Ventures Myoko snow tour was beyond what I expected. Having such an easy approach vibe, the instructors where phenomenal, they had enough energy to keep us going even when we had big crashes. They made you feel like it wasn’t time to give up, but being able to go at our own pace was what helped a lot of the time. We went to a different mountain every day and got to experience quite a variety of terrain. We were lucky on our rest day it snowed for the entire day so when we got back out for our fourth day of snowboarding, we had started to pick up some considerable speed and because of all the fresh snow it was a soft landing, though digging yourself out of a half meter of powder sure is tiring. The hotels location couldn’t be better nestled on the side of a run you could wake up walk out the door and snowboard off to where ever for the day. The staff where unbelievable, they were very friendly and attentive; they would help with anything we needed. The building itself had a very warm vibe to it, the fireplace in the centre was an exceptional gathering area for just meeting up or even hanging out with other guests. The whole experience was unbelievable and unforgettable I enjoyed myself so much I will definitely be going back next year.

Here’s what people have to say about our Nepal Ventures!

"What's next?"

Truly the most adventurous and amazing time of my life. The scenery, atmosphere, organisation and trekking mates second to none. The biggest problem now is what will I do next! There has to be more out there, I will be looking forward to what Zac and Mountain Ventures can suggest? Annapurna

"Annapurna Combo"

After the EBC adventure l was keen to see more of Nepal and their beautiful Himalayas. I chose to do both the Annapurna Curcuit and ABC, Poon Hill treks to see as much and many of those magnificent peaks as possible. The circuit finishing with the Thorong La Pass was amazing with spectacular views on the pass that l was unprepared for a completely different trek to EBC. I was on my own but Zac had it all covered. my guide Pad made sure the accommodation and food was suitable every time and ensuring my safety. I met up with two others smoothly to do ABC and Poon Hill. Again the amazing scenery was different every day, we had tropical, forest, arid and snow covered mountains. For Mother’s Day we had sun, rain , hail and snow!
As usual Zac had The treks extremely well organised with the Nepalese guides Pad and Ram tending to our every needs, their knowledge was essential. Porters Syrian and Many did a mighty job with our bags (never complaining) and also helped the team when they could. I must admit l am hooked on these high altitude challenges, but feel extremely safe with the knowledge of Zac and the local guides. I am proud of my ability to just keep going and never dreamt at my age of 50+ l would have such an amazing hobby. Again it has just left me looking for more. Thankyou so much Zac and Mountain Ventures.

"Adventure of a lifetime"

I am about to turn 70 and  recently was part of a group who went to Base Camp Everest with Mountain Ventures and these are my thoughts on the adventure;

As to the adventure, for me it was a physical challenge as I am a long time jogger, and I found it challenging enough but quite doable.  Words that come to mind include exciting, stunning, awe inspiring at times, somewhat primitive in areas and certainly meditative.

Leading our group  was Zac who somehow made light of anything considered problematic.  Not sure how he does it but nothing is too much trouble and as to the day pack he carries around, I swear he has the kitchen sink in it.  Whatever one needs he delves into his bag and like a magician he produces whatever is required.  More to the point his nature is made for what he does in that whatever the hardship of the day I found him calming and an assistance in refocusing for the day ahead.

For anyone interested I highly recommend Zac’s company for an adventure of a lifetime.

Dominic, Melbourne.

“Unexpected adventure of my life”

Everest Base Camp. Where to begin. Simple to say it was the most unexpected adventure of my life made all the better being run by Zac from MV.

Dad and I only decided 3 months out we were going and with no trekking background between either of us (The last hiking I did was 29 years ago walking to the lighthouse at Wilsons Prom) Zac and Andge were great with all the information, training plans and what gear to buy!!!

We were only a group of 6 with our guides Ram and Pad who along with Zac always had everything under control displaying a great level of professionalism which made the trip that much easier for all of us. We all had very different levels of fitness and walking at different speeds and they looked after all of us at every stage.

The trip is hard to describe and you will understand this once you get home and reflect on what you have done. About 150km round trip with some days 2-3 hrs uphill climbs so you will learn a lot about what you can personally achieve.

I won’t sugar coat it as this trip can be harsh so you need to listen to your body and the guidance of Zac and the boys. They have done it all before and will know well before you do how you are travelling. Just keep drinking your water, stay warm and take your time. (Small steps going uphill works wonders) There is no rush to base camp. Take all the photos you can (I have over 1400 between the I-Phone and Gopro) and don’t forget to stop every now and then and just take in where you are.

It is the most beautiful and peaceful place I have ever been with massive mountains everywhere you look. It is a humbling experience and you will definitely come back different.

Ask Zac to teach you Dhumbal (an awesome Sherpa Card Game we played everywhere) and watch out when you are playing with Ram and Pad – They are masters!!!!

All in all It was a great adventure I was able to experience with my Dad and the others in the group, made all the better being led by Zac and the boys. They kept the group together and watched out for all of us so we only had to worry about what to order off the menu every day, oh yes and dodging the Massive Yaks!!!!!

I would happily go on more adventures with Zac and I know some of our group have already signed up for another trip with Dad and I’m contemplating the trip to Mt Kilimanjaro being talked about!!!

Am happy for any of you to contact me if you want some more information on the trip (contact MV for Pete’s contacts)

Here’s what people have to say about MV's guide Zac!

“(Tour) with Zac”

I've travelled the world over my 52 years and have never had such an extraordinary tour as this was. Besides the fact that every single minute of our almost 13 hour trip was filled with unbelievable sights, Zac was the tour guide of ALL tour guides. From the minute he picked us up at the door… he was delightful! He immediately introduced everyone on the bus to us with such enthusiasm... Zac really made our tour fantastic though. He was filled with knowledge, made sure we didn't miss a thing and even gave us hints of how to make best use of our time... The greatest thing about Zac is that he was filled with energy for the ENTIRE 13 hours keeping us laughing, engaged, entertained... We had a complete blast even though we were exhausted by the time he dropped us off. I just have no idea how Zac can be so fun, enthusiastic, energetic, and hilarious for 13 hours! He's amazing!!!  Dragonlady629 Houston TX
